This comprehensive study sheds light on the multitude of benefits that sick pay reform can bring, from a huge economic boost, increased productivity and reduced presenteeism, public health protection, and a crucial safety net for working people.

Headline findings include:

  • £4.1 billion in savings and productivity gains possible through sick pay reform.
  • 1 in 3 recipients of Statutory Sick Pay are currently living in poverty.
  • People suffering from illness are three times more likely to return to work if paid adequate sick leave.
